We always thought that Rihanna was the least hair friendly celebrity, treating her tresses abominably, but according to Pantene Lady Gaga is the celebrity who makes her hair suffer the most.
According to the Pantene Torture Test which surveyed 561 New Zealand woman about their hair habits and the role models they saw as damaging their locks, Lady Gaga is the worst hair offender. Katy Perry and Rihanna are also on the list for over-treating their locks.
Gaga, who is a natural brunette, had 36 percent of the vote. She regularly changes her look but it is the bleach that is the most damaging. Rihanna racked up 14 percent of the vote, considering that she spends tens of thousands of pounds a week on her hair we would hope that the stylist takes good care of her hair which might explain her lower score. Britney Spears got 9 percent and Katy Perry 8.
In the survey almost 50 percent of respondents admitted that they used styling tools at least once a week (the StyleJacking team confirm that they definitely use straightners at least once a week). Worryingly thirteen percent use straightners every day, or more than once a day while 8 percent use them once a month.
Pantene asked whether people thought that bleaching or using straightners was more damaging and 41% thought the former with 26% opting for the later.
