Tolkien fans are about to get lots of fun from Peter Jackson. The director has confirmed that he’s going to split The Hobbit into three movies.
Jackson had dropped hints about such a move at Comic-Con. Of course, it remains to be seen how the director will squeeze that much screen time out of the Tolkein classic, which, unlike Lord of the Rings, consists only of a single, relatively short book.
