One Hollywood couple is preparing to get married in style this weekend. Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake threw a big party last night in Italy where they will tie the knot. Andy Samberg, former ‘N Sync member Chris Kirkpatrick, Timbaland and “7th Heaven” star Beverly Mitchel are among the celebrities guests who will be there. Jess and Justin have been together for nearly five years, although they split for a short time before reuniting.
Some explosive new allegations came to light yesterday as the civil trial between Britney Spears’ former manager and her parents got underway. Sam Lufti is suing for defamation over a book Lynne Spears wrote that claimed Lufti was to blame for Brit’s breakdown. In opening statements, his attorneys claimed Britney had overdosed on amphetamines the night she was put under a 5150 psychiatric hold, according to TMZ. They also alleged the real reason Britney shaved her head was that she had been using large amounts of drugs and was afraid that a judge would force her to undergo a follicle test that would cause her to lose her kids. Finally, they say Sam was the one who introduced Britney to her now-fiancée Jason Trawick at a Halloween party. Lawyers for the Spears family will get their chance to make opening statements today. ‘Can’t say any of this is really all that surprising!!!
Meanwhile, Britney and Jason have a new place to call home. She has purchased an $8.5 million pad in Thousand Oaks, CA. The 8,500 square foot home features five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and an infinity pool. Must be nice!!!
Another day, another story of Lindsay Lohan screwing up. This time, she failed to show up for voiceover work for her upcoming film “The Canyons” on Wednesday. So far, no word from LiLo’s camp about why she was a no-show.
From the things you didn’t really need to know file, Christina Aguilera says she favors going commando. “I don’t like to wear underwear,” she said while appearing on “Chelsea Lately” last night. “I like to be as free as possible at all times.”
There are a few new choices at the box office this weekend…one is “Alex Cross.” It features Tyler Perry stepping into the role introduced in a series of James Patterson novels and first brought to life by Morgan Freeman. Another choice is “Paranormal Activity 4,” the latest in the horror series. One final choice is “The Sessions” starring John Hawkes and Helen Hunt.
