Today's forecast? Love in the air, courtesy of weatherman Sam Champion and his boyfriend Rubem Robierb.
The Good Morning America anchor, 51, announced to ABC News Friday that he and his longtime love are engaged.

"We are thrilled and so excited and thank everyone for their good wishes," Champion shared in a statement.
The pair got to know one another a few years ago in Miami after being introduced by mutual friends. (Brazil native Robierb is a professional fine-arts photographer who travels between Miami, Atlanta, New York and Santa Monica). Rubem and Champion plan to exchange vows later this year.

Earlier this month, Champion attended the wedding of another openly gay news anchor, his friend Thomas Roberts, who married boyfriend Patrick Abner in NYC October 1.
