We love our sunglasses, so it always feels like a shame when we have to put them away at the end of summer. With this in mind we thought we would share our four valid reasons for why it is acceptable to wear sunglasses all year round.
To protect your eyes
We would be doing a disservice to our customers if we failed to point out that the first and foremost reason for wearing sunglasses is to protect your eyes. The sun’s harmful UV rays can cause serious problems, so it is always best to pop on your shades, keeping your eyes young and healthy. We also recommend wearing sunglasses in the winter too, as they will prevent glare caused by snow on the road.
To look and feel stylish
There is no doubt about it, many people wear sunglasses to add a cool, relaxed and edgy feel to their outfits. There are plenty of designer sunglasses to choose from, in a variety of styles and colours, ensuring there is a pair to suit every face shape. If you are looking to create a classic look, why not pop on a pair of Ray Ban Wayfarers, or for a quirky look, try a cat’s eye shaped frame. Not only do sunglasses look stylish, but they often help people to feel confident, perhaps because they hide what the eyes are really saying.
To hide a hangover
Please refrain from telling us that this isn’t a valid excuse, we know you are all culprits of hiding a hangover with a pair of shades! Don’t worry we’ve done it too. After a night out on the town, it is fair to say you may feel a little worse for wear. If you can’t be bothered to do your makeup, but refuse to rock the hangover-look, pop on a pair of sunglasses and you will simply look like your average celebrity, which brings us nicely onto our final point…
Because you are a celebrity
Every day we see celebrities in magazines, on the internet and on the television, wearing their favourite pairs of designer sunglasses, even when it’s not sunny! Sure the bright camera flashes from the paparazzi may blind their eyes, but we happen to think it is because sunglasses make them feel powerful, confident and important. It also gives them a chilled out, chic look, hiding the fact that they are probably fed up of being asked why they split up with so-and-so or who they are secretly dating. Well, if celebrities can get away with wearing their sunglasses all year round, we don’t see why we can’t to! What do you think?
