It’s splitsville for Bethenny Frankel and husband Jason Hoppy. “It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating,” she said in a statement. “This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family…We…will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter, who is and will always remain our first priority.” The two have been married for three years, but speculation stirred this summer that this was coming after she admitted she was “fighting for her marriage” on her reality show, “Bethenny Ever After.” Well, she wasn’t exactly a doting wife – unless you know any that ride brooms!!!
Rihanna was in the spirit of giving, as the Barbados-born singer donated $1.75 million to modernize Queen Elizabeth Hospital in her home country. “This was my way of giving back to Barbados in a form of philanthropy,” she said. Meanwhile, cops were called to the Barbados home where she’s staying, after a German man was found wandering on the private beach front property. Authorities do not believe he’s a stalker, but they are investigating the trespassing incident.
Even though Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher don’t have kids, the hold up of their divorce is apparently over money. Yes, the two have boatloads of it, but TMZ reports Demi is seeking a settlement similar to the killer deal she got in her split with Bruce Willis, but details about both remain undisclosed. Um, she has a $25 million Manhattan crib and she needs money??? Really??? How about a reality check!
Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” claimed the top spot at the box office this weekend with $26.7 million. Debuting in second was Tom Cruise’s “Jack Reacher,” which earned $15.6 million, followed by Judd Apatow’s marital comedy, “This is 40,” which scored $12 million. Finishing in fourth was “Rise of the Guardians” with $5.9 million and “Lincoln” rounded out the top five with $5.6 million.
