Remember the beginning of Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure? He gets out of bed and sets off a Rube Goldberg machine that culminates in an Abe Lincoln statue making him pancakes. I wanted one so bad when I was a kid.
Well here’s another Rube Goldberg machine designed to make pancakes. The “Pancake-omatic” was created for the free range chicken company “the happy egg co.” The machine was designed by engineer Dermont Doyle and took a team of four engineers from Helix design production more than 200 hours to create. They performed over 100 tests until they got it just right.
The “shake and bake” pancake mixture I buy at Target seems really lame right now. Bravo, engineers!
