Scientology is kind of an "all or nothing" thing. Either you're a proud follower of Dianetics, or you'd prefer to have all traces of Scientology purged from history forever. It's pretty intense.
And former Scientologist Leah Remini just shored up her position on the "anti" side of things. The HBO documentary "Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief" aired on Sunday night, and Remini was right there along with it, tweeting her support of the film and its anti-Scientologist stance.
"Thank you to the brave who did something about it. And to those who didn't have a voice, you do now. #GoingClear"
Remini famously quit the church in 2013, after being blacklisted by top members and a number of her close friends within the organization. Her family left at the same time, as Scientology policy would have forced her family to cut off all contact with Remini.
This isn't the first headline dredged up by "Going Clear." A few months ago, it was alleged by the documentary that Tom Cruise and the church tapped Nicole Kidman's phone during their split. Also, several other horrific instances of blackmail, abuse and general nastiness.
Probably for the best that Remini's distancing herself from Scientology, huh?
"Going Clear" is directed by Alex Gibney and based off Lawrence Wright's 2013 book of the same name.
