Justin Bieber look-alike Tobias Strebel has died days after the 35-year-old man was reported missing, according to multiple published reports.
Strebel, who was also known as Toby Sheldon, was reported missing Aug. 18 after being last seen in the 1700 block of Orange Grove Avenue, police said.
Strebel, according to celebrity website TMZ, was found dead Aug. 21 at Motel 6 in the San Fernando Valley. His cause of death was not immediately known.
In a 2013 interview with Inside Edition, Strebel explained his motivation wanting to look like the pop star. “I looked at [Bieber’s] pictures and I was like, ‘Wow, that’s exactly what I’m supposed to look like!'”
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office confirmed to CBS Los Angeles that it responded to a motel in the 15700 block of Roscoe Boulevard in North Hills on Aug. 21, but provided no other details.
