It certainly has been an amazing week for Carly Rae Jepsen thanks to her brand spanking new album Kiss that hit stores on Tuesday.
Continuing to pour her time into the just-released disc, the 26-year-old spent Thursday (September 20) glammed up in 80s attire for the filming of the music video to accompany her latest single titled 'The Kiss'.
Once finished up rocking out in front of the cameras, Miss Jepson l\\changed up outfits before heading over to the Roosevelt Hotel hotspot Bootsy Bellows to commemorate her latest career milestone with an album launch party.
As for her life-changing past twelve months, Carly’s success can be traced back to her first US single “Call Me Maybe” that lit up the airwaves earlier this year.
Of the man who inspired her to write the track, the “Good Time” songstress previously told press, "I was nominated for songwriter of the year in Canada, at the Juno Awards, and I went with my father so he could help me walk down the red carpet in my four-and-a-half-inch heels."
"At the last second he got stage fright. So my producer offered up his friend Jordi Ashworth to be my arm support while I walked in these crazy shoes,” she added. Unfortunately, Carly and Jordi have since split, but she’s found a new beau in singer/songwriter Matthew Koma.
